EARGASM OF THE DAY: Michael Kiwanuka - Home Again
Earlier this year, the BBC awarded London lad, Michael Kiwanuka the Sound of 2012. As a self confessed Anglophile, this may be the first time I’ve actually had to disagree with the BBC. To me, his sound is timeless. I just listened to his debut album, Home Again in it’s entirety and there was a lot of jizz face going on. I was left feeling like Otis Redding and Bill Withers had a baby. I know those are some pretty hefty names to casually throw about, but i’m sticking to my story god damn it! I wish I could say more, but no words in my vocabulary seem eloquent enough to give Mr. Kiwaunka the justice he deserves. So i’m just going to borrow the words of Beyonce instead - listen.
